According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), "overdose deaths involving prescription opioids were five times higher in 2016 than in 1999." In an effort to combat the opioid epidemic, many organizations created specific opioid prescribing continuing education materials, guidelines and tool kits. Use NCSBN’s toolkit to access those materials.
